About the Role:
We’re seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced Piano Teacher to join a growing music education service focused on children aged 5–11. This is a face-to-face, self-employed, and part-time role, where you’ll teach from your own home in a clean, professional space.
This is not a full-time or salaried position. Instead, it's a flexible opportunity designed to work around your lifestyle, with the support of a trusted and growing brand. You’ll manage your own availability while being part of a close-knit team focused on quality education. Lessons begin in January 2026, with time to prepare your diary and welcome new students.

Must be available for at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
• This helps accommodate families who are only free outside school hours
• If you are available both weekend days, that’s a strong bonus -
Teach children aged 5–11, with the occasional older student or adult

Requirements:
✅ Minimum Grade 3 ABRSM or Trinity (or higher) in Piano
• Equivalent experience may be considered in place of formal grading
✅ Proven experience teaching or working with children
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
✅ Completed or willing to complete safeguarding training
✅ A dedicated teaching space in your home with a quality piano or digital piano
• Suitable: Living room, home studio, or office
• Not suitable: Bedrooms, kitchens, shared apartments/housing or shared/noisy areas
✅ No pets allowed in the teaching space during lessons (must be secured elsewhere)
✅ Friendly, patient, and professional in behaviour and communication
✅ Able to work self-employed, managing your own tax and invoicing
✅ Willing to represent and grow with the company – not just freelance, but part of the team
Responsibilities:

Deliver structured and engaging piano lessons to young learners

Create a positive, welcoming experience for children and their families

Adapt teaching to each student’s needs and pace

Communicate clearly and professionally with parents when necessary

Maintain a tidy, quiet, and distraction-free teaching environment

Represent the company’s values, attitude, and standards in every session

Manage your availability and calendar responsibly
Interview Process:
1. First Round - Initial phone call to arrange an interview via Zoom
2. Second Round – Zoom Interview: A short online session to get to know you and discuss your teaching approach and experience.
3.Third Round – In-Person Interview & Performance: A face-to-face meeting with a short performance and teaching demonstration.
Probation Period (3 Months): Successful candidates will begin with a 3-month probation period to ensure the best fit for both students and the teaching team. Ongoing support and feedback will be provided.
