Welcome to Music with Manny!
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our services for all students.
By booking and attending your child’s first official paid lesson, you automatically agree to these Terms.

 

1. General Conditions

1.1 You confirm you are at least 18 years old and are the legal parent or guardian of the student.
1.2 Lessons are provided for lawful and educational purposes only.
1.3 Music with Manny reserves the right to refuse service at any time.
1.4 Video Recording: All lessons are video recorded for safety and quality assurance. Recordings are stored securely and used internally or where legally required.

1.5 Communication Responsibility:
Music with Manny is not responsible for missed lessons, scheduling issues, or misunderstandings arising from a parent’s or student’s late replies, failure to respond, or failure to answer calls, messages, or emails.
All general updates are issued via a one-way Music with Manny group, unless the message is specific to an individual child. Parents/guardians are responsible for staying informed.

 

2. Membership, Booking & Payment

2.1 Lessons must be booked in advance.
2.2 All payments are taken by Direct Debit on the 1st of each month.
2.3 Payments are taken over 52 weeks for 44 weeks of teaching.
2.4 Monthly fees secure your child’s membership and lesson slot and are not pay-per-lesson.

 

Membership Model

2.4.1 Music with Manny operates strictly on a membership basis, not per-lesson.
Music with Manny is not responsible for lessons missed due to holidays, travel, illness, personal commitments, or any absence by the student. No lessons can be rescheduled if the student can't attend.
Missed lessons by students are not refundable and not recoverable or cannot be rescheduled.

2.4.2 Annual Calendar & Operating Schedule:
The yearly opening times and teaching calendar are published on the Music with Manny website and in the Music with Manny WhatsApp group.
This calendar cannot be altered for any reason, including holidays, illness, emergencies, or personal circumstances.

2.4.2.1 Teaching Year Reset:
All lesson allocations, attendance, and entitlements apply only within the current teaching year.
Lessons do not carry over into the new teaching year in January under any circumstances.

2.4.3 Holiday Notification (No Credit / No Makeup):
If your child will be absent due to holiday, you must notify us in advance for awareness only.
Membership continues as normal.
All lessons during this period are fully missed with no lessons owed back.

2.4.4 No Membership Pausing:
Memberships cannot be paused, frozen, or suspended for any reason.

2.4.5 Leaving & Returning:
You may leave at any time.
If you return, you must re-enrol as a new student, pay the joining fee again, and join the waiting list.
No previous credits or arrangements carry over.

 

Direct Debit & Missed Payments

2.5 If a Direct Debit fails, membership is automatically paused and you have 7 days to make payment.

2.6
If payment is made before the scheduled lesson time, the lesson may proceed.
If payment is made after the scheduled lesson time, that lesson is permanently forfeited.

2.7 Music with Manny does not replace lessons missed due to late or failed payment.

 

Cancelled Direct Debits

2.8 If a Direct Debit is cancelled by the parent or student, the student is automatically unenrolled, regardless of owed lessons.
2.9 All owed lessons are forfeited.
2.10 Re-enrolment requires payment of the joining fee again and placement on the waiting list.

2.11 No partial refunds under any circumstances.
2.12 Parents are responsible for sufficient funds.
2.13 Attendance at the first paid lesson confirms acceptance of these Terms.

 

3. Joining Fee

3.1 £25 one-off joining fee for all new students.
3.2 Joining fee is non-refundable.
3.3 Returning students must pay the joining fee again.

 

4. Health, Illness & Attendance

4.1 Students who arrive visibly ill will be refused entry and the lesson forfeited.
4.2 The same applies if a parent brings an ill child.
4.3 If a student is unwell but able to learn, a same-day online replacement lesson may be offered and cannot be rescheduled.
4.4 Lessons missed due to illness or holidays are not made up.

 

5. Teacher Absence

5.1 If a teacher misses a lesson, that lesson will be placed into lesson credit and owed back.

 

6. Cancellation, Lateness & Termination

6.2 Missed or late-cancelled lessons are not refunded or rescheduled.
6.4 Late arrival does not extend lesson time.
6.5 Lessons are cancelled if the student is 15+ minutes late.
6.6 Music with Manny may terminate any student at any time without refund.

 

7. Class Format, Safety & Responsibility

7.1 Lessons may be online or in person.
7.2 Parents provide necessary equipment and internet.
7.3 Supervision required for under-12s when requested.
7.4 Parents are responsible for any damage caused.
7.5 Music with Manny is not responsible for children outside the teaching space.

 

8. Age & Conduct

8.1 Students must be aged 5+.
8.2 Inappropriate behaviour may result in termination with no refund.

 

9. Intellectual Property

All teaching materials remain property of Music with Manny.

 

10. Liability

Music with Manny is not liable for personal equipment failure, technical issues, or indirect losses.

 

11. Privacy

Handled according to our Privacy Policy.

 

12. Changes

Terms may be updated at any time.

 

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England (UK).
